I am absolutely NOT an expert gardener! I have been raising chickens for 20 years and can answer lots of chicken questions. However, I have not gardened alone long. Therefore, I can’t answer most garden questions.
I sell seeds. $1.00 per package. I will not be selling plants any longer.
I outsource most of my seeds–over 95% of them. My garden just simply does not produce enough to harvest large amounts for selling.
99% of my seeds are from 2023. A few are from 2021-2022. Very few came from before 2023. Dates are clear on them. They are all heirloom non-GMO seeds.
One of my goals is to save rare seeds/plants. However, just like chickens, most people want common seeds only. Common breed chickens and common seeds sell 10x easier than rare seeds/poultry. Therefore, we carry lots of common seeds along with some rare seeds. If we didn’t, we would not sell enough to keep our business open.
I guarantee all my seeds to germinate–but not to produce–as so many people don’t seem to know how to garden. However, I only guarantee them for the $1.00 that you paid for them. I do not refund for your soil, fertilizer, pots, time, etc.. Guarantee is for one year from the date of purchase. Some companies that I purchase from guarantee their seeds 2 years from the expiration on the envelope but you must keep the envelope to get that refund and contact that company directly.
Please purchase Ebay seeds with care-they are clearly marked as coming from Ebay. I am having lots of problems with Ebay seeds and are no longer purchasing them as of September 2024. They have a horrible germination rare and sometimes the wrong seeds are sent–even companies with good ratings. They are still guaranteed for one year for your $1.00 purchase price but $1.00 is nothing when you have put all the time into preparing the soil and then planting something that never came up.
On some seeds, I ordered them in bulk and separated into bags. Those are the best deal as I put double what the seed companies put in their bags.
$1.00 per package on seeds is firm. This is what I paid for almost all of them. I bought them to be a cheap source of seeds for the community to hopefully help people get started in gardening and for also my local projects. My main goal is not to make a profit on seeds.
If you purchase them online yourself, they are $2.00-$2.50 per package at their original companies.
My contract with the seed company states that I cannot sell them online. Therefore, just like chickens, I do not ship seeds or plants.
Local pick up is in Little Rock, Arkansas near Ferndale/Paron.
List of Plants/Seeds that we sell: I do not sell very many plants and concentrate more on chickens and seeds.
Vinca Minor (AKA Periwinkle) is a beautiful evergreen perennial. It’s good for ground cover. It thrives in the sun or shade and has purple/blue flowers in the warmer months. It is a perennial in Arkansas but an annual in colder places. Some places consider this an invasive plant so please google before you plant it as it tends to take over. It is very hard to grow from seed (it needs darkness to germinate) but easier to grow from cuttings or plants. We sell 2-6 inch cuttings for $1.00 each (.50 cents each if you purchase more than 20). You can root them in dirt or water. Sometimes, we can dig up the plant. If we have extra plants available, they are $2.00 each. Available from May/June to September. We do not collect or sell Periwinkle seeds since it is so hard to grow from seeds.
Honey Locust Tree: Honest locust trees are native to North America, Africa, and Asia. They have huge thorns. Some people consider them ornamental. It does not form seed pods until it is 10 years old. Around September, their seed pods form, turn brown, and then fall to the ground. It can grow over 100 feet tall. It is native to Arkansas but some places consider it invasive so google before you plant it in your area. We would usually never encourage growing thorn trees but it has some amazing benefits: 1. The seed pods contain a sweet honey like substance that is edible. 2. The leaves are tiny so there are no leaves to rake in the fall-only pods. 3. The timber of honey locust is strong making it ideal for wood working. Native American tribes used the wood for making tools. 4. It has medicinal uses: Extracts from the leaves of Honey Locust Trees have been found to be strong in antioxidants and have potential to help in the fight against various cancers. It is also thought that additional uses could exist for treating rheumatoid arthritis. We collect Honey Locust Tree pods in September and sell the seeds for $1.00 a packet. Depending on how many we collect, there are 10-50 seeds in each package. We also have the dried pods if needed. Please google before planting as the seeds have to be scarified before planting.

We are in search of plant seeds native to Arkansas to add to our collection. If you have a source for some, please contact us.
If you are looking for seeds, please try:
1. Bakers Creek (www.rareseeds.com) Bakers Creek ships year round. Expect to pay $3-4 per package. Also expect 10-25 seeds per package as rare seeds always have less.
2. Freeheritageseeds.org. They’re not actually free unless you want just one package but they have seeds twice a year in June? and August/September. They have limited availability and seeds sell fast. Watch their website for updates.

Be careful ordering from Ebay/Amazon. Maybe 70%-90% of our Ebay/Amazon orders were the wrong seeds or did not germinate like the seeds were super old. We have discontinued using them.
