(Common/ Everyday/NON-exhibition/Commercial strain) HENS:
Young hens: See below. Average price is $30 but I rarely sell my young hens that I have gotten few eggs from because it costs me so much to raise them and the price just seems unfair.
15-20 months old: $10 each (By now, we have had time to get plenty of eggs out of them)
24 months old and up: FREE (Hens drastically reduce their laying at 24-36 months of age)
ROOSTERS:
Pure breed roosters that I hand raise are $10 each grown. Fancier ones/show birds are more. I do not have mixed roosters. For most breeds, I cannot tell they are a rooster until they are several months old.
EGGS:
I no longer sell hatching or eating eggs.
BABIES:
Common/non-exhibition/Standard: Straight run pure breed day old baby chickens: $5 each
I feed medicated chick starter and I add $1 per week in feed to every baby chicken after they turn 6 days old.
I am not set up to ship baby chickens.
Rare/show chickens are more.
