Seeds (March 2024)

I am absolutely NOT an expert gardener! I have been raising common chickens for 20+ years (rare chickens less time) and can answer lots of chicken questions. However, I have not gardened alone long. Therefore, I can’t answer most garden questions. I don’t give a description on my seeds page for this same reason. I would have to google most plants/seeds. It is too time-consuming and there are so many gardening pages that do a much better job than I could ever do. Please google for a plant/seed description.

I sell seeds. $1.00 per package. I will not be selling plants this year.

I outsource most of my seeds–over 99.9% of them. My garden just simply does not produce enough to harvest large amounts for selling and I do not have the space to dry large amounts of seeds.

95% of my seeds are from 2024. A few are from 2022-2023. Very few came from before 2022. Dates are clear on them. They are all heirloom non-GMO seeds.

One of my goals is to save rare seeds/plants. However, just like chickens, most people want common seeds only. Common breed chickens and common seeds sell 10x easier than rare seeds/poultry. Therefore, we carry lots of common seeds along with some rare seeds. If we didn’t, we would not sell enough to keep our business open.

I guarantee all my seeds for one year. However, I only guarantee them for the $1.00 that you paid for them. I do not refund for your soil, fertilizer, pots, time, etc.. Guarantee is for one year from the date of purchase. Some companies that I purchase from guarantee their seeds 2 years from the expiration on the envelope but you must keep the envelope to get that refund and contact that company directly.

For a small period of time before I had my business license and was organized as an official business, I ordered Ebay seeds. We are slowly pulling those Ebay seeds (please tell us if you see any for sale as I have marked them clearly as coming from Ebay).
I highly recommend you do not order Ebay seeds. I am estimating 30% or more of the seeds mailed to me were the wrong seeds. When the right seeds were mailed to me, I bet another 30-40% did not germinate. On average, we were getting at least 70% bad seeds. Once your leave a rating at Ebay, you can’t change it so, if you ordered those seeds in winter and didn’t plant them until Spring and the wrong seeds come up, that company still got your good rating. Even ordering from companies with great ratings we ended up getting scammed. You can’t return it after 30 days and these scammers are getting rich off of you. They know it’s the wrong seeds and they know the seeds are old.
The same applies to Amazon–we are having almost just as many problems with Amazon seeds and quit ordering from them over a year ago.
Please find a reputable company to use for your seeds because you might very well be putting all that money and effort into planting grass seeds or dead seeds.
I am slowly pulling my Ebay seeds and won’t order from them again. If you have purchased Ebay seeds from us, they are still guaranteed for one year for your $1.00 purchase price.

$1.00 per package on seeds is firm. This is what I paid for almost all of them. At at end of 2024, I will slowly add some rare seeds that might cost more. I bought them to be a cheap source of seeds for the community to hopefully help people get started in gardening and for also my local projects. My main goal is not to make a profit on seeds.

If you purchase them online yourself, they are $2.00-$2.50 per package at their original companies.

My contract with the seed company states that I cannot sell them online. I can advertise them online but not sell them online. Therefore, just like chickens, I do not ship seeds or plants. You must pick up at our storefront.
