We have a few women wanting to get started in gardening. I have not gardened alone long and I am not equipped to teach that class. Some things to know:
1. My store is too small for a class so we will have to rent a building. I am looking for a church or other space that rents for a small fee. Depending on the location, I plan on the class being near our business in West Little Rock near Ferndale/Paron.
2. We plan on offering the class for free and was hoping for a free teacher once a month. If not, we might charge a $5 fee per person to cover the costs of the teacher.
3. If you have some expertise to share in gardening (or possibly a poultry class later on), please contact me. We would like our 1st class to be in January.
4. Right now, I only have a few women interested but, if we get more interested, we will announce it on Facebook and hopefully find more. I would really like the class to be free is possible as more people will come and some areas near Ferndale (like Paron and Moody Hollow) are very low income and those women will never come if it costs anything–even $5.
We hope to add a chicken class later on.
