SHOP (June 2025)

What’s Available Right Now (If it’s not on this list, I do not have it):

I have recently started selling my eggs to Front Porch Market in Salem/Benton (they offered me $4.00 a dozen). If you are looking for fresh eggs, mine are there for sale–they are open Wednesday to Sunday.
They are still $3.00 a dozen at my house.
All free range chickens.

There is a huge panic this year over the price of eggs. I have seen this before during covid and it will end eventually.

If you feel the need to buy chickens to raise due to egg prices, please google first because it’s going to take you about $20-25 to raise every hen.
That does not include the ones that don’t make it or purchasing straight run and having to raise the roosters to 2-3 months before knowing the sex.
If you have googled and still need chickens, here are some leads:

  • Farmer’s Association in Little Rock has pullets every Friday. $5.99 for common breeds. $7.99 for fancier breeds. 3-7; they have Black Australorps, Buff Orpingtons, and a few more but they are selling super fast. Next Friday (3-14), they will have Rhode Island Reds, Wyandottes, and a few more breeds.
  • Tractor Supply in Benton has baby chickens every Wednesday: $5.99 for pullets and $4.99 for straight run. Breeds change every week.
  • Tractor Supply in Little Rock gets chicks every Wednesday around 1 pm. Breeds change weekly and they don’t know until they show up. The price is the same as Benton.
  • Tractor Supply in Malvern has baby chickens every Wednesday around 8-9 am. Breeds are unknown until they pick them up. Prices are the same as TSC in Benton.
  • Famer’s Association in Benton will not have anymore in until June or July. They had some a few weeks ago but orders were messed up? and they will not have more for months.
  • Welp’s Hatchery is sold out until late summer
  • Doug’s Feed and Tack in Malvern gets baby chickens every week. Please call for details.
  • Ideal Poultry is sold out until September 2025 and later on some breeds.
  • McMurray Hatchery is sold out of most breeds for the entire year. They are having phone issues due to having so many orders.
  • Meyer’s Hatchery is sold out for the entire season. They are having long phone hold times due to so many people ordering.
  • Be careful purchasing on Facebook, Beebe flea market, any flea market, or Craigslist as there are lots of online scams and lots of diseases. Once you get most chicken diseases, you have to cull everything to get rid of it. Years ago, we got a disease and had to cull everything and start over. Please don’t let this be you because it set us back thousands of dollars.
