We do not grow our own seeds. It is simply too time-consuming, we don’t have the experience, and we do not have enough land to grow many items. If you are looking for seeds, here are some places to try:
Online: My three favorite places are MiGardener, Bentley, and Seed Savers Exchange. You cannot beat these three places.
Migardener: All packets of seeds are $2.00 each. Free shipping if you purchase more than $20 worth. They have common and rare seeds.

Bentley: Bentley is amazing for common seeds. Most packets are $2.49 plus a small shipping fee. They do not have rare seeds but they give a healthy amount of common seeds in every packet. Shipping is a flat $10.00 fee no matter how many that you order.

Seed Savers Exchange: Many common and rare seeds. Most packages are $4.25-6.00. Due to the price, this is not the best place to buy common seeds but amazing for rare seeds.

Other online places:
Baker Creek: Baker Creek has many rare and common seeds. On Facebook, there is some controversy surrounding them due to politics (not sure what those politics are but several people mentioned not ordering from them due to politics/possible labor issues). One of the best things about Baker Creek is that shipping is added into every order so you can buy one package or 20 packages with no added shipping fees. They lost our order but replaced it. I noticed, in the reviews, that they lose lots of orders but they seemed very willing to replace ours and had good customer service. There was a few complaints of the wrong seed/plant coming up and bad germination rates so read the reviews before you order.

Also notice the size of the packet: Some of the rare seeds only contain 5-10 seeds which is not much if the germination rate is bad.
Bear Mountain Farm and Seed Company: I have never used them but they get really good reviews so I included them here. Most packages are $2.00 each with free shipping over $25.00. I looked briefly at their page and they appear to have common seeds and a few rare seeds.

Southern Seeds; They have many rare and common seeds. I have ordered from them twice for seeds that my other favorite places were out of. Shipping for us was fair and quick.
There are tons of other online need companies. I have not ordered from any of them so I did not include them in my reviews.
Locally: Local businesses carrying seed packets include Walmart, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Tractor Supply, and several other places.
For bulk seeds, try Farmer’s Association
Other Gardening Help:
If you, like us, wish you had listened to dad more when he had you out there weeding the garden in the summer and need gardening help, the first place to go would most likely be YouTube. YouTube can help you build a garden (probably even a house) from start to finish. They have tons of ads but, if you can handle the excessive ads, they are the place to start.
Farmer’s Almanac is incredible. According to them, the frost dates for Central Arkansas are March 28th for the last frost and November 4th for the first frost. According to Farmer’s, we have a 220 day growing season. If you don’t live in Central Arkansas, you can find your frost dates and growing seasons here:

They have tons of education on gardening from Growing Seasons to Garden Layouts. I have posted a few of their charts/info below.
He does not appear to post many videos lately but, if you need the gardening education like we do, MiGardener’s founder Luke has some amazing videos to help you get started on both Facebook and YouTube.
Bear Mountain also has a Facebook page with education on it.
